Market session indicator
The indicator displays the operating time of the world exchanges. The vertical line displays the current time, allowing you to see which markets are currently most active.
- Helps to select the most volatile instruments at the moment;
- Especially useful for intraday traders;
1) When working on time frames 1H and below: the lines will correspond to the actual location of the bars on the chart, and when moving the chart, the lines of the trading sessions will move along with the chart.
2) When working on time frames 4H and above: a static chart of trading sessions will be displayed, and the vertical line will move throughout the day, indicating which markets are currently active. (Due to the scale).
After installing the indicator, I recommend you to disable the Grid (CTRL+G) and disable object descriptions (F8>Common>Show Object Descriptions).
When loading the indicator, you will be presented with a set of options as input parameters.
: broker time difference compared to Greenwich mean time. The broker's time can be found at the top of the "MarketWatch"
section" (View>Market Watch or CTRL+M). For example, if the broker's time is 16:30:00 and the Greenwich mean time is 14:30:00, the parameter
value should be (2 hours difference). If the difference is negative, do not forget to specify the sign of minutes before the number (If the broker
time is 13:30:00, and Greenwich mean time is 14:30:00, the parameter value should be [-1]). Greenwich mean time can be found on the website https://time.is/GMT
