Riyad Eltom / Perfil

Riyad founded Eltom Capital in 2014 and is currently the Managing Director of the company. As an engineer by background specializing in developing complex software systems, lean manufacturing methodologies and lean six sigma, Riyad has over 15 years of experience in the manufacturing industry and over 8 years in the financial markets. In his previous role, he was part of the Supply Executive Team at Diageo Australia responsible for all manufacturing, engineering and capex functions with a team of 170 staff on site. Riyad is also a qualified six sigma green belt and has also been a leader in organizations such as Arnott’s Snack Brands, JDS Uniphase, AMCOR, James Hardie and Reckitt Benckiser.

In 2006 Riyad, an expert software programmer, began developing automated trading systems as a retail investor. Between 2006 and 2014 he continued this journey in technical analysis, leveraging his strong statistical background from Physics and Engineering. In 2014 he joined forces with Knowledge to Action as a Proprietary Trader where he quickly built a reputation for successfully automating trading strategies. With the support of other traders and his colleagues, Riyad founded Eltom Capital with a unique scientific, statistical modelling approach to developing automated trading systems.
