Auto trading Not working

I have a code and in testing the auto trading works well, seems to do as I want. But once I put it into a demo account it does not seem to trade, it has done a few trades and been good but then just stops. I can't work out why it's not kicking in and then continuing to trade, it's driving me mad. What should the EA properties be for each pair, been trying in xauusd, gbpusd, eurusd and eurgbp. Each does something then nothing, I just want advice and any help that gets it working perfectly I will share some profit as I have very little now.
