Genetically identical (same code and settings) self-training advisors GapFixer Gap1 and GapFixer Gap2 were launched almost four years ago. To make trading decisions, the Expert Advisors use the author's RespectScale event-driven analysis technology. Although they both trade in identical conditions, their trading decisions often do not coincide, because each of them uses only their own, rather than someone else's, unique trading experience. Advisors are successful most of the time, but especially successful when the market is stormy.

Few comments on the current period and current performance of Gap signals.

GapFixer is an event-oriented Expert Advisor; it has no concept of "time," it uses an event (change in the direction of price change by at least a threshold value) as a chronometer. A new event can happen within a few minutes after the beginning of the previous one or within many weeks. That is, GapFixer is an EA of a variable, event time frame. If there are many events - we see many trades, if there are few - few trades, if there are no events - we don't see any trades.

Regarding the current situation.

We don't see much trades in the last few weeks, but they still occur.
With the profitability of about 1000% (according to Myfxbook monitoring) the current drawdown is 17%. Taking into account that this 17 % contain 6-8% corrected by InstaForex, the current drawdown is no more than 11%, which is not very pleasant, but it is a working moment. No strategy is possible with this.

On the growth charts, we can see that the profit grows in steps, and now we see another step. This step is chipped, almost horizontal. That is, the process is going on. I can't say how long will the current period last. But it is already quite long.
The advisor is the same; nothing was changed in it.
The Gap2 account has less drawdown because it has lower risk setting.

As the number of trades is low, it is worth reminding that GapFixer does not know what "time" is. An indicator for the EA is an event (change of a price change direction). The smaller the number of events is, the rarer the ticker is, and the lower is the amount of the trades. Do not hesitate, the EA is on and is patiently waiting for suitable opportunities for trading.

As you can see on the Duration (Growth) graph, the fastest profitable trade lasted more than 5 minutes. On the hourly Profits vs. Losses chart, we can see that most of the trades continue for several hours. Thus, it is quite apparent that all the allegations about the use of arbitration, high-frequency trading, spikes and other similar methods in my accounts are entirely wrong.
