Demo Testing is a good incubation period for EA before going live...

Many traders will run an EA on demo account first before putting it on live account which is a good practice.

This demo testing period acts like a form incubation period to prove if the EA is suitable to go live.

Usually incubation period ranges from 1 month to 6 months depending on individual's comfort level.

The typically common incubation period is 3 months, while some go for 6 months to be extra conservative. And of course there are some who will just go for 1 month.

And if an EA survives the incubation period with profits, it is a good indication for it to go live trading real money.

Grid Hero has certainly passed way beyond the incubation period and is able to consistently generate profit for the past 8 months since Mar 2017.

Since Mar 2017, there has not been a negative month as you can see from the signals - all months are profitable with a positive PnL.

This basically shows that Grid Hero has passed the incubation test with flying colors on 2 different reputable brokers, and is definitely a good indication to go live.

And as you see from my live signal, Grid Hero's performance on real account is very much in sync with its performance on demo accounts, which is a further demonstration of its stability.

So there you have it, I've already did the incubation test for everybody to see and to judge for themselves - refer to my demo signals.

And that the real signal being in sync with the demo signals gives that extra assurance...

We just want to make money after all...

You can have an EA that meets all the text book criteria and ticks all the right check boxes, like the need to have a stop loss & a take profit, having a positive risk reward ratio, limit your losses and let your profits run, trading only higher time frames, etc, so on and so forth...

All these are the standard text book guidelines and best practices that we are being taught of when comes to evaluating how the 'right' trading strategy should be perceived as.

But even fulfilling all these guidelines, there are still many EAs on the market that either don't make you any money at all, or just keeps depleting your balance day after day.

So what is the point of having EAs that meet all these fancy criteria but yet unable to make you any money? Yes, it is pointless...

Regardless of what EA or strategy we use, we just want it to make money after all...simple as that.

Basically what I want to say is to open your mind and look beyond all these so call text book guidelines and think simple.

Fancy rules and guidelines aside, all you really need is an EA that can make you money, period.

An EA that consistently banks in profits and grows your account balance day after day, month after month.

An EA that does not let you wait too long until your patience runs out, before seeing any profits.

An EA that lets you see profits more than losses so that your confidence doesn't get eroded.

Ultimately, all we simply want is to make money...open your mind to unorthodox strategy, open your mind to Grid Hero...

Grid Hero Version 9 Features Announced!!!
===================================================================================

Pardon the wait, I've submitted Version 9 to MQL for checks and approval, and as usual it will take a few days up to a week or more for them to review.

Meanwhile, let me elaborate more on this version, and yes this is another massive update.

First of all in Version 9, some parts of Grid Hero's core algorithm has been re-optimized to further reduce draw down while increasing profitability and stability.

And the main highlight of Version 9 is the newly built-in "Artificial Instinct Processor" module along with 8 other sub modules that it will work closely with.

The Artificial Instinct Processor acts like a 'brain' that constantly analyzes the market and forecasting what kind of market condition works best with what indicator or oscillator at that point of time. Basically it artificially simulates that instinct of a human trader, and then it 'match make' the current market condition with the analysis data from the indicators/oscillators, in generating buy or sell signals. The way as to how the Artificial Instinct Processor simulates human instinct is by introducing dual layers of self-adaptiveness, a self-adaptive layer acting on another self-adaptive layer - "Self Adapting the Self Adaptive". Normally the self-adaptive capability of an EA is based on a fixed set of parameters and these parameters never change. With a single self adaptive layer, the scope is always contained and limited by that fixed set of parameters. So basically what I did is to add a second self adaptive layer to constantly self adapt the parameters of the first self adaptive layer, significantly enhancing the self adaptive algorithm, as if it was able to 'think and adapt' itself to the market on a wider scale. And as mentioned earlier, the main processor unit will work with various indicators and oscillators in interpreting the market, and below are the indicators and oscillators that are built into Version 9, constantly feeding data to the processor for computing market entries:

- Keltner module
- DMI module
- RSI module
- CCI module
- Stochastic module
- Parabolic Sar module
- Bollinger module
- Envelopes module

Realistically, it is impossible for any human trader to be manually monitoring and analyzing so many feeds of data constantly at any point of time in every second. This is where the Artificial Instinct Processor comes into play using its dual layer of self adaptiveness capability in computing all the possibilities of market entry in fraction of a second. And due to its 'liquid' form of self adaptive capability in analyzing the market, I would like to see it as a form of artificial instinct that resemblance that of a human instinct but at a whole new level beyond human capability - the machine instinct, artificial but better.

Grid Hero's Performance between Real & Demo is very much in sync...

How differently an EA will perform in Real and in Demo accounts is one of the top concerns for EA traders, and a well known problem for a lot of EAs on the market.

This is why I have one Real signal and two Demo signals running on Grid Hero EA, and they are all hosted on the same VPS session running on default EA setting.

The reason of keeping both Real and Demo running in parallel is just so that we can all witness if there is any major differences in Grid Hero's performance between Real and Demo accounts.

And if you compare the performances, we can easily tell that the Real and Demo signals are very much in sync with each other.

Of course they wouldn't be 100% the same which is expected, but as you can see their performances are consistently close to each other.

So basically we can clearly see from the comparison that Grid Hero's performance is consistent on Real and Demo account.

And this is a very good sign...

In case you are not aware, the current Real signal was started in Aug 2017 while the 2 Demo signals were started in Mar 2017.

And just to reiterate again, there was a retired Real signal that was started in Mar 2017 and retired in Aug 2017 with a 14% profit.
