How It Works
ProPRgold identifies high-probability setups on XAUUSD by combining four layers of logic:
- Minimum Range Filter — only trades when the market shows sufficient volatility (150+ point daily range). Avoids choppy, low-conviction sessions.
- Trend Filter (MA-based) — entries are aligned with the dominant trend on a higher timeframe, reducing counter-trend exposure.
- Dynamic Risk Reduction — automatically reduces position size if the account enters a drawdown phase above a configurable threshold (5% default). Protects capital during losing streaks.
- Custom SL/TP + Trailing Stop — stop loss and take profit levels are set as a percentage of the entry range, not arbitrary fixed pips. The trailing stop activates once the trade is in profit, locking in gains progressively.
Session timing is built in — trades are only opened during active London/New York overlap hours (06:00–22:45), and all positions are cleared before the weekend close (Friday 22:45). No positions are left open over the weekend.
Prop Firm Compatibility
ProPRgold is designed with funded account rules in mind:
