Hello,

not sure why but right now the End Of Bar timer is frozen all the time, it will load correctly the time of the bar left when changing the timeframe back and forth but it will freeze right after.
I have tried different symbols, and a clean chart with nothing else in it with default EA settings.

The timer gets stuck all the time.

What is the issue here?

Thank you

Hello.

I checked.

Everything is working fine.

Perhaps the problem is the following:

The timer only works on ticks. When a new tick arrives, the timer is updated.

It is possible that there are no ticks on your currency pair. Therefore, the data is not updated.

Hello,

I wanted to continue with my comments about the virtualpad created by our dear Vladislav. It's truly a masterpiece. I'm impressed by how such a small device, measuring just 8 cm by 4 cm, can be so powerful. It surprises me more each day, and I've been using it since the end of April 2024. Recently, I've started using the Lock function, and what a powerful button it is when you want to lock in your gains or losses as the market becomes indecisive and you don't know if it will continue in your favor or go completely in the opposite direction.

One feature I would love to see in a future update is the ability to choose the number of positions for the Lock. Let me explain: suppose I have several long positions totaling 5 lots, and I notice a pullback starting. If I decide to use the Lock function, it currently opens a single position summing all positions, meaning it opens one position of 5 lots. I would like to have a checkbox or an option to divide the 5 lots into 2 or 10 positions, totaling 5 lots and not 1 position totaling 5 lots. Is this something that could be implemented?

Hello, thank you.

1. When you set trailing stop = 50 and ON = then the expert advisor monitors each position separately.

As soon as the position gains a profit of 50 points, then the expert advisor modifies the stop loss to 0.

When the profit is +60 points, then the stop loss is modified to profit +10 points, and so on.

2. Trailingtop settings, which ones do you need? In the expert settings (right-click on the chart = experts = properties or F7) you can configure:

Step_TrailingStep = 1 The step of changing the Trailing Stop in the modification of positions.
It is installed to work with the TrailingStop function.

Example:
Step_TrailingStep = 1
With a trailing stop, the stoploss changes in steps of 1 point:
1.12345 , 1.12346 , 1.12347 , ……

Step_TrailingStep = 15
With a trailing stop, the stoploss changes in 15-point increments:
1.12345 , 1.12360 , 1.12375 , ……

StartPointsForTrailingStop
- The amount of additional profit in points when setting Stoploss.
--When using the Trailing Stop, Our Expert Advisor will set an additional profit in points to the StopLoss.

3. Stoploss takeprofit - standard. When the checkbox is set and the value is specified, then the position is opened with stoploss and takeprofit.

Hello Developer ,,,
I am struggling about I don't know when I want to put Trailing stop and break even with points or pips
Lets say if I want to make trailing stop for xauusd (Gold) when the market go with my direction I want to put my break even to 10$ if my lotsize was 0.10 (one Dollar) how many point or pips to put into break even

and if I want to move trailing stop every 10 dollar if my lotsize was 0.10  how many points or pips to put into trailing stop and trailing step

and is the same with other currencies ?

Thanks in advance

and is the same with other currencies ?

For XAUUSD, 1 pip (point) equals 0.01 in price movement, and the value of 1 pip  (point)  for 0.10 lots is $1. So, when you're aiming for a specific dollar value, you can calculate the points (or pips) required accordingly.

Break Even Example:

You want to set your break even when the market moves in your favor by $10 and your lot size is 0.10, which means a $1/pip  (point)  movement.

To achieve a $10 movement, you'll need the market to move:

  • $10 in price (since 0.10 lot size = $1 per pip  (point)  , this means a 10-pip  (point)  movement).

Since 1 pip for XAUUSD is 0.01, you calculate:

  • $10 / $1 per pip  (point)  = 10 pips  (point)  .

So, to move your stop-loss to break even, you should set 10 pips  (point)  in the break even setting.

Trailing Stop Example:

You want to move your trailing stop every $10 as the market moves in your favor, and your lot size is 0.10, which equals $1 per pip.

To move the trailing stop by $10, you'd use the same calculation:

  • 10 pips = $10 movement.

In MetaTrader:

  • Set the trailing stop to 10 pips (10 points).
  • The trailing step can also be set to 10 pips  if you want the trailing stop to be updated every time the market moves an additional $10.

Is It the Same for Other Currencies?

The pip value differs for other currency pairs, depending on the pair and your lot size. For example:

  • For major pairs like EURUSD, 1 pip typically equals 0.0001 in price movement, and the pip value for a 0.10 lot size would be $1.
  • For XAUUSD, 1 pip = 0.01, and 0.10 lot size gives you $1 per pip.

The principle remains the same: calculate based on how many pips (or points) are needed to reach your desired dollar movement.

Summary:

  • For break even: Set 10 pips o achieve a $10 break even on XAUUSD.
  • For trailing stop: Set 10 pips  for both trailing stop and trailing step to move every $10.

Question: What are the values in the fields for editing in Points or pips?

In points()! The item is taken from the value of the Point () variable of the MQL language.

  1. If you have a 5 \ 3 digit broker, then 1 point = 0.00001 \ 0.001
  2. If you have a 4 \ 2 digit broker, then 1 point = 0.0001 \ 0.01

So, to move your stop-loss to break even, you should set 10 pips  (point)  in the break even setting.

Trailing Stop Example:

You want to move your trailing stop every $10 as the market moves in your favor, and your lot size is 0.10, which equals $1 per pip.
