UPCOMING CHANGES ON GRID HERO LIVE SIGNAL

In the next 2 weeks, I will be consolidating my trading accounts and VPS into the US Equinix Data Center.

As such, I have opened a new LIVE trading account & signal for Grid Hero's performance monitoring, with its broker's server as well as my VPS all hosted in the US Equinix Data Center.

This new Live Signal will replace the existing signal and will go live on 1st Aug 2017, while on the other hand I will be cashing out and closing my existing Live account & signal by the end of next week (5th Aug 2017).

The purpose of this arrangement is to have both my trading accounts and VPS session all hosted in the same US Equinix Data Center, to improve execution time and reduce latency.

In case if you are not aware, this is a very good approach in improving your live trading conditions by reducing the 'distance' between your broker's server and your VPS.

As you can see at this point of writing, the existing Grid Hero Live Signal has been doing well which allows me to close out the account with profit.

I will let the existing live signal run until the 5th Aug weekend and maintain full transparency on the account closure.

I will also take a screen shot of the existing signal on 5th Aug to show you the account balance/equity and that there are no outstanding trades at the point of closure.

As you can see, the new Grid Hero Live Signal has already been added to my profile, and will officially start running Grid Hero live trading on 1st Aug.

So next week will be the transition week whereby we will have both the new and the old signals running in parallel for a week before taking down the old signal.

And the purpose of such arrangement is to have a seamless transition from the old signal to the new signal, maintaining an uninterrupted monitoring of Grid Hero's performance.

2) In the EA menu, input your broker's GMT Offset value for Winter (check with your broker if you're unsure)
3) Leave all other EA settings as default
Note: The default value of the GMT Offset for Winter is set to 2, which matches most brokers.

Back Test Instructions:

If using standard MT4 Tick data downloaded from History Center: Use default settings of EA (leave the GMT Offset for Winter as default).
If using Birt's Tick Data Suite (V2): Let's say if your broker's GMT Offset value for Winter is 2, under the "Tick data settings" of Tick Data Suite, set GMT Offset value to "+2" and DST to "US".

Grid Hero Version 6 coming up...

Just a quick announcement that Version 6 has been submitted to MQL for approval.

The main feature of Version 6 is a newly built-in optimized time filter that automatically aligns trading window within an optimized time range according to your broker's GMT Offset value.

Simply input your broker's GMT Offset value for Winter into the EA parameter setting, and that's it. The EA will then automatically align the best trading time for you.

Version 6 is much more robust as it offers lesser draw down, much better stability, and able to survive very long term back test, regardless of using Birt's Tick Data Suite or the standard MT4 Tick Data.

It is also easy to use, just drag and drop the EA onto EURUSD H1 chart, and then just input your broker's GMT Offset value for Winter, and that's it, simple as that. No Set file needed.

Since published, Grid Hero has evolved generation by generation and now up to the 6th generation, which is at its best now with Version 6.

This is my commitment to buyers, relentlessly perfecting it. So stay tuned, I'll update here again once Version 6 has been published.

GRID HERO EA - REAL SIGNAL VS DEMO SIGNAL

As you can see from my profile, I've a a REAL signal for Grid Hero as well as a couple of DEMO signals running in parallel.

The purpose of keeping the DEMO signals active is for the benefit of being able to constantly check if the EA's performance is consistent between a REAL account and a DEMO account.

All my REAL and DEMO signals are using the same EA settings, same start time, and are hosted on the same VPS, so as to have an accurate and fair comparison.

It is important to know if an EA performs the same between REAL and DEMO because it simply shows you whether the EA is sensitive to or able to survive live trading conditions.

On a REAL account, you're constantly more often than not being hit with brutal live trading conditions like thin liquidity, price slippages, execution delays, etc.

Whereas on a DEMO account, you don't face such undesirable conditions because DEMO account presents you with an idealistic trading environment which obviously is unrealistic in real life and can be misleading.

From what we've observed in Grid Hero's REAL vs DEMO signals over the past months, it is evident that up till to date Grid Hero's performance has been consistent and in sync between REAL and DEMO accounts.

This means one thing, Grid Hero EA's performance is not sensitive to or affected by the real live trading conditions.

This applies to all other EAs as well, and that it is always a good practice to keep both REAL and DEMO signals running in parallel so you can constantly check if REAL and DEMO are in sync.

As a responsible seller and developer, being transparent is an important value and keeping both REAL & DEMO signals running is one such way of maintaining good transparency to my customers.

Project Volas EA - Built-in Trades Invalidating Mechanism

In my previous posts, I've showed plenty of trades transactions executed by Project Volas EA so you have a better picture of how the EA scalps the market.

In this post, I'll touch on trades cancellation which is a very common behavior of Project Volas EA and is fully managed by its smart Trades Invalidation mechanism.

So if you've been running the EA for a while, you should see a lot of cancelled pending orders in your order history, which is part of the design.

Whenever any pending order(s) is/are cancelled, it means that the scalping opportunity has expired or pending order(s) has/have been nullified due to false breakout detected, etc.

Hence the EA is intelligent enough to be able to constantly assess if the opened pending orders still fulfill the scalping condition, and if not it will quickly invalidate the trades by deleting the orders.

This smart mechanism is to avoid triggering orders when the market momentum is uncertain or loses steam and hence avoid taking unnecessary losses.

Today is a good example where you can see the EA invalidated some trades which you can see from the screen capture below that it was a good call made by the EA.

Always remember the golden rule, when there is no reason to trade, don't trade.
