Index Scalper PRO MT5

The Scalper is good BUT as others mentioned a single loss wipes out 10 winning trades. How can we solve this? what about if we decrease the loss % from 5% to 2%? any ideas?

13/04/2023 The EA has generally performed well particularly on DE40 trades with 56 wins/3 losses on live account. US30 has not performed as well with 43 wins/4 losses.

Evegenii is responsive to requests and continues to make improvements. A recent addition to the setting Close by opposite signal=true if the EA detects a direction change. This closed a couple of short trades in loss $30 x 2 and opened long trades $10 x 2 profit, which proved to be a good thing to do as the DE30 went higher. It was a net loss but still saved a greater drawdown.

The main issue is even though I set a large TP, the profitable trades always cut out at about 10% of the target or stop loss level, so it takes 10 profitable trades to make up for one loss. This has made US30 barely profitable but DE40 trades are in profit overall. If just a few trades could be left to go to the TP or a larger TP, it would cover the SL trades and be more profitable. I'm not sure if closing the profitable trades early is due to a trailing stop or other TP function. Evgenii can you clarify how the closing in profit works, and if using a trail, can you add the input parameters to be able to adjust and optimise it? If this TP control could be improved to allow them to run longer, I'm sure it would be more profitable

28/05/2023 Update. May has been a terrible month on DAX trades going to stop loss 12 times in the month. Given the minimal profitable trade, it will not be able to get sufficient winning trades to recover. There are 2 major causes to problems and I re-iterate what I said earlier before.

The trailing level needs to be adjustable. Trades which should have gone to be large winners were cut short, no trade ever goes to hit to take profit due to these early cut outs, whereas every stop loss goes to the full amount. With an adjustable larger trail the may be 1 or 2 a month which go to take much larger profits and compensate for the stop losses.

The second issues is 50-80% of stop loss hits occur around London or New York Market opens. If a filter could be added to enable the EA to stop trading X minutes either side of market open e.g. 30 minutes before and 60 minutes after, the majority of these large stop losses could be avoided and the EA be profitable.

I'm reducing the rating from 4 to 2 stars as after nearly 2 months of using the EA I have a net loss due to these issues.

I bought the index scapler pro MT5 and tried its greats and made some profits with great results , I thank Evgenii for creating this great EA

03-04-2023 : Got the EA yesterday and set it up , been running for the whole day. Performance is below par. There is no more NEWS Filter due to some technicalities in MT5. So far the EA has placed 14 trades on USD30. 3 lost and 11 won, but the risk to reward ration is so bad the each loss takes away the profit of almost 10/11 wins. So net net down on the account. Will update the review with time to come. For now not impressed with the stuff, but then again 1 session is too short a time to judge the EA.

End of day 1: account down 5%. 4 wrong trades and 12 win trades. Account equity wiped out by 5% on default settings. Will be updating this space regularly so that those who want to get into the EA have a clear picture. Point to note: Author is very communicative and replies almost instantly.

Day 2: Account down 20% overall in the last two days. Terrible risk to reward ratio, trades which are profitable and with the trend are closed with aggresive trailing TP, hardly making 10 to 15 pips and SL is a huge 100 pips.

Day 3: With the new updates, I have now been using Version 4.9. Day 3 went on smoothly and we had good trades. Account is overall still in negative after the first two days of bleeding. But Day 3 was good, hoping for the consistency in the days to come. Will update shortly again

Not satisfied with the performance, takes one step ahead and three steps back. Performance of the EA doesn't justify the high price tag. That amount of money can be better spent. Pick up the best performing signal for the last 12 months and subscribe to it with that amount of money, you will have better return on investments

Negative feedback! I tested this expert seriously with real money three times until now, even with the set file sent by the author for the last version. There are big differences between the backtest results and the real trading results. Important losses appear after every 4-5 days, especially during high volatility periods. In my opinion, for my accounts, this is an unprofitable software. I am not using Index Scalper PRO MT5 anymore.

Just bought this EA and I have run it in the backtest, the results seems good with around 95% winning rate and small DD. I've been running it now on a demo account (for DE40 mainly) for a week and the result is also fine. I hope it can perform well when running in live account too. I have a high expectation on it. Just want to share another feedback about this EA. In the beginning, it seems very difficult to understand the parameters in the setting. After few enquiries made with the programmer and the admin, they patiently answered and help out. After that, only few days, positive returns. Love this EA.

I've been using this EA for 2 months and starting to think it's difficult to win in my environment. The reason I still rate 3 stars is that it's might be profitable if we can choose good broker and vps. In my case, the broker is Exness (zero spread) and vps is MetaQuotes' official (2.2ms), but total profit is nearly zero because few big losses always outweigh many small wins. I also tried it in another environment (more spread, slower vps) and the result was really worse. I suppose only those who can set up the same environment as the author's better purchase this EA. I'm so unhappy because I cannnot open ICMarket.

I own a few EAs and to be fair, I quite impressed with this EA. You need a good vps and broker to maximize your gains, otherwise you won't fully benefit. It has a 100% strike rate on US30 so far and a 95% rate on NAS100. Looking forward to seeing end of month results - thank you.
