Was reading some random articles about how to increase MT4 or MT5 performance for perfomance-hungry-EAs, and found advise "hide all symbols in market watch, except required for EA ones". I was like "duh, obviously", and then went to hide like 50 symbols from my terminal watch :D
Other good advices: remove all toolbars and panels in mt window; maximize whole terminal window and go fullscreen (f11); set "above normal" priority in task manager; minimize chart. Also you can double click on terminal panel (ctrl+t) to make it compact if it still required.
Screenshot: probably the best ea-performance oriented setup.
Attention VPS users, I just found out that VULTR is cheating with CPU power. In multi-cpu VPS description they write about 2 or 4 CPUs, so people expect 2 or 4 times bigger performance. In reality they just give same CPU, but split it into few cores, so total cpu performance of 1CPU, 2CPU or 4CPU setup is completely the same. Only difference you get is memory size and HDD. 1CPU setup has no CPU cheating possible tho, its fine.
Why the recent stock market correction is much probably finished: Understanding the role of volume in the market is essential: big moves start and end on big volume. This volume shows that the smart money (professional operators) are highly active, buying or selling. This is a prime example: the smart money is buying into all the panic and selling frenzy of the public, which means the prices will soon reverse, as the down move no longer has professional support.
Am I going long? For sure, just waiting for a down bar with low volume, to ensure that there is no longer supply in the market.
Hello,I am trying to compare few signals, and I am struggling with equity drawdown comparison. On signal page I can see maximal eqity drawdown in percent and value, and that's all. If signal trades many pairs - I want to know maximal drawdown for
I think that RoboForex broker screwed me over. I was running EA on few broker accounts with same settings, was not monitoring trades whole day, but in the evening saw this picture (attached). So, at some point of time EA just stopped to trade on Roboforex account. There are seen few "scanning network" messages in log, I understand that these log messages mean nothing, and I have no other logs that would state about network errors. But soon after these messages EA just stopped to trade. While it continued to successfully trade on another broker account. I trust this EA, have earned a lot with it, its impossible that EA stopped to trade for no reason, or waited for better market conditions. Its otherwise, it would close unprofitable positions if it could.
I don't have any evidence that this is broker problem, no log messages that would state "cannot connect" or "cannot get tick history" etc, but broker failure is the only logical explanation about what happened. Their support have closed my refund ticket with no action, after sending me some text log from their server, where no connection errors are seen (of course, I can create any text log too, for any made up server).
Have anyone seen things like this? Is it possible from broker side to block all EA trades? In some way that would not be detectable from MT5 terminal.
