Modified Metatrader

Hi, I have a very very very bad pro. I'm using a modified version of metatrader 5 for iran stocks, but I cannot use EAs. It's a complicated situation, I can just keep some EAs online but it doesn't AUTOTRADE. It's just somehow signaling. And most of the EAs(I mean the other ones) disappear just as I choose them for the symbol. What can I do to change it's programming or things like that? thanks for your assistance.

- Did you allow autotrading? (in MT5 settings and in EAs duiring the attaching it to the chart - on two places to check)
- EAs are for MT5? (because EAs for MT4 will not work for MT5)
- Does your broker allow autotrading? (because it may be related to the broker)

Yes I allowed autotrading, EA is ascrendnd(your favorite one:) ) and it is for MT5. but i don't know what do you mean by the third question. Is there any difference between requests sent by EAs and usual users? Id there is, so it is not a real automated trading:(.

In this case - you should ask your broker about autotading (some brokers are not allowing autotrading).

I mean - if all MT5 EAs does not work in your MT5 so you can check the following: autotrading for the EA, in common tab of the EA properties.

Allow Auto Trading — this option allows or prohibits trading using Expert Advisors and scripts. If it is disabled, scripts and Expert Advisors can work, but are not able to trade. This limitation can be useful for testing the analytical capabilities of an Expert Advisor in the real-time mode (not to be confused with testing on history data).

The option enables/disables automated trading for the entire platform. If you disable it, no Expert Advisor will be allowed to trade, even if you enable automated trading individually in the Expert Advisor settings. If you enable it, the Expert Advisors will be allowed to trade, unless automated trading is individually disabled in the Expert Advisor parameters

If everything is fine with the setting but EAs does not work (any EA - how many did you try?) so ask your broker (it may be the broker's limitation).

I deselected the options after the autotrading option I mean changed account, profile &... and I will try this out again at tomorrow. but few minutes ago sth odd happened. I sold some equities and then there was a mark on the chart. And it says it was an autotrading. so what is happening now? :)

Where to check autotrading:

and

If you attached EA to the chart and you see "smiling face" so it is fine with autotading (in most of the cases):

If EA's face is not smiling and not happy so you can check everything once again:

It was for MT4 but MT5 is same with this case.

But there are some brokers which are not allowing autotrading so check with the broker too. And there are some symbols which you can not trade (S&P 500 for example, etc) - I mean - there are some your particulat broker's limitation so it may be the reason as well.
