I'd like to know if someone know how many system can be active on a single MT4 platform and how they affect a PC/VPS.
I think you try to asking EA or "automatically robot system" active on single MT4?
I'm not using EA, but maybe you can use many EA attached to every pair chart.... for example: 1 pair chart attached "Martingale" EA .... other chart attached "Breakout" EA.... another attached "Swing" EA .....
This will make your margin drop, because possibly all EA make open trade.but doesn't affect anything in PC/VPS, except make slowing down PC.
any other comment from guys here?
i got one computer for each 'system' not one computer with multiple systems.
If you load it too heavily it gets slow and starts to freeze and lag, but it depends on the amount of code it needs to process per 'system' so for light things i suppose you could use many on one terminal, but mine are very heavy on the memory if that is what you mean.
I have 6 terminals running on my pc. 1 MT5 terminal and 5 MT4 terminals. Each MT4 terminal has on average 6 charts with six EA's running. The MT5 terminal has 1 EA.
The pc can handle the load but during the Euro/American session, it slows down a little bit.
Max number of MT4 terminals that can be opened is 32.
Max number of charts on 1 terminal is 100.
Of course you need enough resources (CPU,RAM) on your computer to be able reach these limits.
My PC processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ ..... RAM 3.5GB .... Windows XP SP3No EA and no complicated indicator.
'Eight' MetaTader4 active at same time ,,,, 'One' MetaTrader5 active ,,, and also 'Four' MetaTrader MultiTerminal active too.
For trading analysis, only one MT4 with 8 pair chart active.... MT5 with 8 chart active (demo account). All other MetaTrader are blank without chart.
My PC system still able to handle all those Metatrader, but immediately start slowing down after login four MetaTrader MultiTerminal.
Do you know Metaquotes published in some document limit to 32 terminals ?
I tried to search but couldn't find.
