My EA is not working or placing trades in strategy tester, I am seeing no errors in the strategy tester journal so could I send the code or anything and someone give me suggestions. I am a noob on coding ect so I made it on fxdreema

I think I may have found the problem. I don't know how to code so I am using fxdreema to make my EA, the basis of what I was doing is correct as it follows a flow diagram but I can't seem to get one indicator right. Basically for example one of my indicators shows a line crossing the zero level, so in the condition I say Blue line > 0 gives a buy and that works fine, the indicator that is causing an issue is a line that changes from red to green on the chart, I initially put green line> red line and that was causing the issue but since I don't know much about code I can't figure out what causes the line to change colour, if I send you the indicator code could you possibly give me something to work with?

    We are willing to HELP you when you post your attempt (using Code button) and state the nature of your problem, but we are not going to debug your hundreds of lines of code. You are essentially going to be on your own.

  2. EA builder makes bad code counting up while closing multiple orders.
    EA builder makes bad code Bars is unreliable (Max bars in chart), volume is unreliable (miss ticks.) Always use time.
    EA builder makes bad code, not adjusting for 4/5 digit brokers, TP/SL and slippage.
    EA builder makes bad code, not adjusting for ECN brokers. pre-Build 500)
    EA builder makes bad code, not checking return codes.

  3. EATree uses objects on chart to save values — not persistent storage (files or GV+Flush.) No recovery (crash/power failure.)

  4. FX EA Builder makes bad code, not checking return codes.
    FX EA Builder makes bad code, loosing open tickets on terminal restart. No recovery (crash/power failure.)
    FX EA Builder makes bad code, not adjusting stops for the spread.

What are your thoughts on fxdreema and StrategyQuant?

 
Discussing third party tool is forbidden. What part of “you will spend a much longer time trying to get it right” was unclear?
