What Really Works From One Professional - page 39

Anyone know how to use the Alpai 1 min history files.

http://www.alpari-idc.com/en/dc/pages/GBPUSD

They have 3 formats but none of them are in .csv

Mart

If we could sort it before England play it would be nice

That's exactly where I'm at too.

I've only got about 3 weeks worth of data so I don't have many too many waves to look at but I'm also wondering what is the ideal ammount of historical data for JD's system. Anyone ........?

If I manage before the footie I will let you know.

Read the attached doc which is basically a "cut a paste" from this thread into a word doc that has allthe important points in it made by JD. It's not spell checked or particularly well laid out ( by me) but that's not important.

Then watch the cable market from the London open (taking into account some of the help from the doc) & after a time it starts to become clearer what the market is doing from the open & the reasons behind the early moves in the session.

When you have studied JD's tips watch the london open & then watch it the next day, and the next etc........& after a while you will start to see a pattern emerging as mentioned in the doc.

I'm no expert by any degree on this but I am starting to "see" something & getting a feel for this. I just read the thread & had faith in what was being said so that's what I'm doing. I'm about bolloxed getting up early & fitting it in with family life etc. but so what.

Just a thought....................

If you wanted advice on how to make money would you ask the guy with a lambourghini or the guy with the ford ??

That depends, do you think the guy with the lambourghini, will take it 4 wheeling?

I agree about the "juice" comment. LOL. I was just looking at some of the Elwave competitors. Anyway, why is Elwave better? And Johnny, can you tell us how accurate Elwave is? On Friday, I was watching it a little. I've only used Elwave for a day but it got two out of 3 from what I saw. It said it was 85 % into wave 3 on USDCHF and sure enough it continued upward . Also, it stated a target of about 1.8212 for a target on one of the analysis and I watched over the next hour as it rose to 1.8212 and over. It said that a good target now for USDCHF is 1.2545 and that wasn't reached because the market closed on friday but I'm excited to see if that target is reached on Sunday. It will be a new market so maybe a new analysis will need to be done.

I've never understood what anyone sees in the juice. How do you read it, all the bars look the same. Why would you add it to a system that works?

Talk with someone in room 54 as we have gone through this ourselves. I will be in there later today and can help then. We can also talk about daily maintenance for your data as MT4 is 1min data and elwave saves and adds tick data to the history which will skew or create wider differences in everyone results based on when they imported the 1 min data and how long they have been adding the tick data to it.

already try metastock format?? the extension is .txt, but u can rename (with file editor like ultraedit or else) to .csv, or import to Ms.excel and save as csv. The file actually in comma separated, so u can import directly to ELWAVE if that what u want to do. To bad i only have demo version of elwave, so i can't import other data, only sample data they provided with installation, but it should work if u have trial or version that can import data.

hoyongdollar....

JD try this indicator let us know how the wave count compares to Elwave.

It will show the wave count in the upper left corner.
