Ask the owner of the source code to give it to you or have him convert it for you.

Decompiled code is stolen code. Either you are a thief, a fence, or the receiver of stolen (intellectual) property. Either way we will not be an accomplice after the fact to theft. See also https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/134317

If you post decompiled code again, you will likely be banned.

Don't tell us you found it on the 'net: if someone stole your bank details and uploaded them on to the internet, is it OK for everyone to use them because "someone uploaded it, I don't know why I can't use that"?

WHRoeder:

Decompiled code is stolen code.

I'm not for a second advocating it... but this isn't as universally true as you think it is.

I think it might have been superseded in an overhaul of intellectual property legislation last year, but the laws of the Russian Federation, for example, specifically permit(ted) decompilation under some circumstances. Check out Article 15, subsection 3 of http://iprgroup.info/legislation/cis/russia/russia_48.html.

I prefer reverse engineering as a term personally, obfuscating a million loops with obscure variable names and a design paradigm that makes them wonder how it ever worked in the first place.

Any form of emulated platform like Java i presume is more secure, unless you specifically know how the compiler makes its byte code.
