ISM Manufacturing Employment Index is one of the elements included in manufacturing PMI (Purchasing Managers Index) calculation. The index is based on monthly surveys of purchasing and supply managers in companies, representing 18 US industries. Survey respondents are asked about whether employment in their company has changed positively, negatively or remains unchanged.
The index weight in PMI calculation is 20%.
Readings above 50 can have a positive effect on US dollar quotes.
